Vatsalya is working toward financial self-sufficiency through goods and services produced on site. It currently receives support from international sponsors and volunteers. There are many ways for you to help!
Donate. To send donations of money, time, or goods, contact Namaste India Children's Fund (NICF), an American non-profit organization that supports Vatsalya's work in India. Donations are tax-deductible as NICF is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization in the United States. For more information, please visit nicfund.org.
Volunteer. Join the growing list of international volunteers who have gone to Udayan to help, while also experiencing life in India. To learn more, visit the Vatsalya home page and click "Volunteers and Interns," or visit nicfund.org.
Take a spiritual retreat at Udayan. Twice a year, Vatsalya provides an eleven-day spiritual retreat at the Udayan campus. For more information, see the Vatsalya Spiritual Retreat page.
Visit, then tell your stories. The trip I joined was designed to provide opportunites to raise awareness of organizations such as Vatsalya by bringing travelers to them so that the travelers can spread the word. Salaam Garage plans to return to Vatsalya in the future for more projects. For more information, please visit salaamgarage.com.
Shop at Anoothi. The Anoothi US website sells handmade products by rural Indian women. Funded by a microcredit program, Anoothi profits go back to the women and a portion benefits Vatsalya. The women have been organized and trained by Anoothi. You can read more about this venture at anoothius.org.
